Did you want to test your characters? Do you want something that you can use for an RP sample without digging up an old thread? Well, here you have it. Pick one or multiple prompts below or, if you want, make a prompt of your own. Just be sure to tag around so that everyone gets plenty of exposure.

1: Explosions in space! Space Bandits attacked the space colony everyone was visiting! Dozens of fighters and mobile armors fly through space, locked in deadly combat. Are you among those battling to save lives? Or are you watching from the windows, praying everything will be safe?

2: Explosions underground! You were part of a trading party, exchanging supplies with an underground penal colony when alien animals burrowed through the walls and started assaulting convict and Confederation member alike! What are you going to do?

3: Explosions over the city! The Colosseum is shooting off fireworks as part of a concert or a sporting event! Are you watching in the crowd, a main attraction, or watching the bright colors from the city?

4: Explosions on an asteroid! You're either observing, guarding, or mining an asteroid! It's rather dull, save for the explosions that rock the ground under your feet. It looks like it'll continue to be just as slow, but... was that something moving in the shadows there?

5: Explosions on a space station! As you approached a research station, you receive a distress signal! Fire's broken out and their systems aren't up to spec! Can you do anything? Are you a part of a scouting crew or out for a joyride in your new yacht? And is this an accident, or something more sinister?

6: Explosions at the gym! Explosive competition! Swimming, weightlifting, running, boxing, someone has just challenged you! Whether they know it or not, you're going to do your best to show them up.

7: Explosions in the past! A star has died! The Fleet is flying through the nebula it left behind, with swirls of beauty as far as the eye can see. If you're the type, you can watch it all you like.

8: Explosions on the road! Most of the traffic on the Teuberg is computer controlled, but some young showoff took his off the grid and promptly caused a wreck! Traffic has been backed up for almost half an hour now, with no way out for you and the people in your vehicle. Are you close enough to see if anyone needs help? Or are you just stuck with people who are as late for their appointments as you are?

9: Explosions in the marketplace! Explosive bargains! You're in a trading hub, surrounded by stalls of all kinds selling every type of merchandise you can imagine! Luckily, you've got enough money to handle a few purchases here. Will you buy one of those daggers on display? An incense burner? Some alien fruit? Or maybe you're on the run from the corrupt guards? Or perhaps you're the one doing the chasing, did someone just steal your wallet?

10: Explosions in your mind! The explosive inspiration that drives this world! Make up your own prompt!

"Having the freedom to move around is a blessing isn't it?" Freedom in general was a comodity often mistaken for other things and very few beings generally possessed it.

Splicer looked up proudly and nodded, "I do spoil my baby, me and her? We've been through hell and back multiple times and she always makes sure I return home safe." There was an odd look of endearment in his features before he continued. "Oh no, I make sure it's only me or someone I can trust who touches her when it comes to repairs. That, or I have to be present... Otherwise? It's hands off." Or tentacles, or claws, or what have you.

With a knowing smile, Splicer nodded. "Hey, you never know. With situations like these you can always expect the unexpected."

"Yes, although I'd be even happier if I could shrink down to everyone else's size. It looks so fun, being able to go anywhere you want in those little buildings!" Tsugumi put her gloved hands together, dreamily looking off into space. "So many cool things to do..."

Tsugumi jerked her tentacles away from the craft, looking embarrassed. "I'm so sorry, Mr. Splicer. I didn't know you were so particular about who touches your Wraith! I hope you'll forgive me for feeling it without asking..."

"Hey, who knows. Maybe we can whip something up that'll allow you to do just that eh?" As far as he was concerned from all that he had witnessed in his universe alone, anything and he meant ANYTHING was possible.

Splicer laughed and shook his head. "Don't sweat it. I would have let you know if it had bothered me." With a possible bottle thrown at them which was his usual get the hell off my ship method when eager repair men got close.

"Do you think so?" The prospect of actually being able to go inside a building -- all the way inside! -- was so compelling. Of course, the humans here had all kinds of technology, so... maybe?

Tsumugi looked visibly relieved. "I'm glad you're not upset, but I really should remember my manners! I guess the pilots I used to talk to just weren't as particular about that sort of thing. It seems like the Gardes were always falling apart, so the repair teams always had to work overtime just to patch them up.

"In fact, Tanikaze-san seemed almost afraid of them at times. I'm afraid they were dreadfully strict with him, since he was always coming back with a missing arm or two."

"Of course, I don't see why not. Especially with the variety of tech coming in from the folks we pick up." He could work on something himself if he was more of an egghead specialized in that sort of stuff.

With a raised brow, Splicer nodded. "Hey, at least they came back right? Better to come back a mess than to not come back at all." Which was fairly common in the bigger battles back in his neck of the universe.

Tsumugi put a hand to her breast, clearly thrilled with the idea. "That would be so exciting! I'd be able to see all the cats up close!"

She knelt down next to Splicer so that she was a little closer to his level, turning her face towards him. "I certainly agree! However, I understand maintenance's concerns as well. They put their heart and soul into maintaining the Gardes, so having to rebuild the Tsugumori all the time was a little frustrating."

Splicer laughed, "Cats? That'll be your first venture into the world of us shorter folk?" he joked of course, placing his hands on his hips and grinning. "I suppose they are fluffy and cute when they're not trying to scratch you up or ruining your curtains haha. Though I'm more of a dog person myself."

Turning to face her, Splicer smiled and rubbed the back of his head. "Yeah, I know they're intentions are usually good willed. But it's like, you don't just let anyone touch your things you know? Haha. It might just be me."

"Yes! My friends used to show me pictures of cats! And I've met one in person, too! Why, they're just as fluffy and soft as they look!"

She looked dreamily out into space. "But being able to hold one in my lap and pet it... that would be wonderful. Dogs are cute, too, of course! But I've never seen one up close."

"Hmm... I don't have many personal effects. Maybe a few books, but they didn't follow me here. But I've heard that mens' rooms are very important to them!"

"I read in old logs from my ancestor's world that cat pictures were a pretty popular entertainment back then." He didn't quite get it but he supposed it was the situations and contents of the pictures.

With a nod and a chuckle Splicer turned back to face her. "Well, now we know what we should get you once you're able to get shorter. We need to get you a kitten." He was sure they could find a shelter kitty for her.

"That's another thing we could do once you're smaller. Maybe get you collecting things that you might like and get you a nice room or something you could make your own with your own style. I think it'd be nice."

"Really? I can see why, though. Especially if you can't keep a cat for yourself. Mr. Splicer, I'd love to have a kitty of my own! Of course, I've never had one before... but I'm sure I can find some good books on keeping them!" Tsumugi was thrilled at the very idea.

"And a room would be very nice, too! But I'm afraid I don't know what I'd fill it with. Humans store clothes in their rooms, don't they? And... hmm..." What else went in a room? Tsumugi looked thoughtful. Yuhata had declared her room off limits, and out of respect, she tried not to wander into the others', either.

Well at least he knew that if they ever managed to get her to shrink that the first thing they should get her is a kitten.

"Well, anything you'd like really. I mean, when you have your own room, it's like having your own personal canvas. You make it your own by putting stuff and decorating it the way that would make you the most comfortable. Give it your style, collect the things you like and all that jazz."

"In that case, I think I'll keep pictures in my room!" Tsumugi said. Something about her face gave off the distinct impression that she was smiling.

"People often keep pictures of the people who are important to them, don't they? So I think I'll take pictures of all the friends I've met here. That way, even if they move to other ships or leave, I'll always have a reminder of them!"

"Friends huh? Yeah, that's always a good idea." Splicer responded, a small smile on his face as he recalled his own friends.

"They can be really good to have if and once they are gone. The memories are always greatly appreciated and help you keep moving forward."
