Maria looks at the other girl, then at the cake, biting her bottom lip a bit, then back at the girl. She found the cake first, and Maria really didn't eat animal proteins if she could avoid it. Shevat didn't have them so they tended to make her hate life for a few hours afterwards.

"I really just wanted the fruit, it really looks like the cake is what you wanted. But I wonder."

She reaches into her pouch and looks at the shop keeper, "I have plenty of credits, and I'm not going against you as a chef, but there's only so much cake. You wouldn't happen to just have the top shelf things for sale? I haven't had real fruit in... A very long time."

She looks over at Rena, "You did want the cake, right?"
