( he thinks gil as he looks up, before his mind catches up with him and reminds him that that is, at present, impossible. it's a little familiar by now, at least, with the time he had to wait on gil in exsilium, and it's perhaps deserved with his own early departure, little as he'd been aware of it. oz had tried to make him promise once, hadn't he, not to leave first and he supposes this still counts as having fulfilled it — even if gil had refused to make a promise so impossible to keep. 'forever' can still exist even in a place like this where time is twisted and wrong...as long as you and i are 'there' together.
