Boromir considered this for a few seconds, an odd expression clouding his features. Not quite pained, but not so painless an expression as wistfulness. He wished his brother could be here with him, everything would be right in the world then. Only it wouldn't, because not only would he not be protecting the company of the ring but Faramir would not be protecting the white city. And his father would not have any sons left in the world.

"I truly do not know." He turned back to the viewport to watch the lights of a dying solar system float past, trying not to contemplate the fate of his people. "The healers did not mention as such when I awoke, but I don't suppose it would be impossible for another from Middle Earth to have the same misadventure. What about you? Are you a native of this realm or were you trapped here the same as I?"
