[Joan isn't used to this, which accurately (if not in an understated way) describes her entire experience since arriving. The attack and resulting chaos have her scrambling to adjust. Joan steels herself with resolve and focuses on the people scrambling for safety. She shuts out the fear rising in her chest about the very real danger still all around.

She is at the back of the crowd too, helping someone to their feet when she hears the young woman call out. Joan turns back. She's impressed to see someone who looks so young, worrying about someone else's safety first. It'd be understandable for fear to take over in a situation like this. She runs to the man's other side, pulling his free arm around her own shoulders to help carry his weight.]

[Joan hoists him up a bit further squaring her shoulders back. She looks over at the young woman with a reassuring nod and then at the man as they start to move.]

We'll get you to safety.
